Larnaca’s Finikoudes street is the main place in Larnaca to gather and spend an evening together in open cafes and restaurants and tavernas. Tourists also like this place, which sports wide Mediterranean beach. Parents walk along with there children while holidays.
Cypriot radicals were marching today. I asked some observers what was all noise about. They said, these radicals were marching against Palestinians and other Arab immigrants settled in Cyprus using state welfare.
My Cypriot vis-à-vis were cheerful to me and assured I didn’t have to fear for myself. But as I know troubles always start far away.
The Police was organized but calm. I saw a police car near Hala Sultan Tekke.
I hope Cyprus will stay multicultural and cosmopolitan. Cypriots will definitely benefit from that.
